SHORT TERM MOVE, STORAGE & PRODUCT DESTRUCTION
A multinational consumer goods and industrial chemicals company needed immediate assistance when during a warehouse move it was discovered that they had overlooked the storage of a large amount of off-spec product.
Background
In the process of moving major warehouses, a national leader in the production of soaps and detergents discovered a large amount, nearly 90 loads, of off-spec product that needed to be moved and destroyed fast.
What We Did
The client immediately contacted Valicor, but the discovery was made late on a Friday afternoon. With only weeks left in their lease on the warehouse, the client needed someone that could move quickly to transport the off-spec product out of the warehouse, as the alternatives that they were facing all carried a large amount of expenses associated with storage and "double moving" of the materials. After getting the call, a Valicor rep immediately started reaching out to assess options for handling this off-spec product in the most efficient and safe way possible. The following Monday, Valicor mobilized resources and secured temporary warehousing and transportation for the off-spec product.
The Outcome
With safety and expediency in mind, Valicor began the process of moving the nearly 90 loads of product into temporary warehousing. The inital focus was just to move the loads as quickly as possible so that the client company would not incur any additional charges from their warehouse. In under two weeks, the materials were fully moved and the old warehouse was empty. Now that there was no more time crunch, Valicor began the process of destroying the product in a more standard timeline. All of the packaging as well as the contained materials were recycled, and the customer was provided with Certificated of Destruction upon completion of the project.

Neither the customer nor Valicor had sufficient storage space to house the off-spec materials until processing and destruction could occur. Valicor's rep stepped in and found the necessary storage in a location central to both Valicor's facility and the customer's warehouse, maximizing the efficient handling of the off-spec product.

Not only was the off-spec product destroyed and recycled, but the packaging was also fully recycled confidentially and safely. Upon completion of the project Valicor provided the client with Certificates of Destruction.
